Unfortunately I don't trust gearbox to necessarily make a good first person MOBA.

I'm gonna go with my first impression which is TF2/Destiny.

Really wish this was more in the style of Monday night combat but i have lost hope of anyone recreating the joy of that series.

I think having 3 guys talking on a couch is a really interesting design decision for this game.

I'm not sure why Gearbox is so respected. I liked BIA back in the day, but those got worse and worse, and even though people seem to like Borderlands (too meme-y for my blood) they haven't produced anything else that isn't total shit. Remember Duke Nukem Forever? Aliens: Colonial Marines?

Randy Pitchford seems like a straight-up lying piece of sub-human garbage. It's hard for me to get excited about anything he's behind.

As for Battleborn, this is not what I was expecting. Not interested.

As a marketing person, it makes me cringe that companies are starting to use development terms like "alpha" and "beta" in disingenuous ways now. This is obviously not a pre alpha. And also, I actually laughed out loud when they said Borderlands 2 had a unique art style. ughhhhh

@larrydavis: I wouldn't say Gearbox is very respected these days, especially after the Alien fiasco. Most people recognize that they've made a lot of shit, and Pitchford isn't well-liked.

This game has one major flaw, it is not Bloodborne.

The art direction, love it! Scott Kester is the man responsible. Yay for more cartoony FPSs. They died after Timesplitters and XIII and NOLF.

They're right about one thing, it's totally not a moba (at least from what they've shown in this video). But if it's just a cooperative campaign I'm not sure how that's supposed to attract moba players since one of the fundamental appeals of the genre is that it's a competitive game involving two opposing teams. It seems much more likely to appeal to those who like cooperative horde mode style games.

Better yet why do people automatically feel the need to shit on gearbox and randy...I mean if your weary because of Aliens I get that but Duke Nukem Forever? that game was going to be shit regardless of who put it out.

I for one liked BL2 and will get the pre-sequel and when I get a current gen console I give Battleborn a chance.
