Wonder how much that would cost...
I would estimate 7 to 15 thousand depending on what materials they use. They have life size statues of characters from Tintin that are going for around $5000, but they also have a life size bronze statue of Gollum (Lord of the Rings) that's about $10,000.

Yeah, but are they functional like this one is?

No, but I'm assuming that if a bronze statue that's in about the same size range as the turret costs $15,000 (I accidentally said 10k earlier) then something that's not made of bronze but has some moving parts in it should cost more than larger stationary statue. The moving parts aren't exactly pieces of high tech so I wouldn't think it adds a whole lot to the price. Then again I am just making guesses based on what the thing looks like and comparing it to other things, it could be over 20k for all we know.
Both this and the Level 1 RED Turret (also made by WETA) that they have in their lobby obviously don't shoot bullets, but they do have motion sensors and make bullet firing noises.
Valve also collaborated with them on the Dr. Grordbort's line of items for TF2. Soldier got a set of weapons and cosmetic items first, then enough fans complained (because ray guns are more of Engineer's thing, and Soldier's pistol shot fire, which is supposed to be exclusively Pyro's thing) Engineer and Pyro both got sets of items. Medic and Scout are next, but I have a feeling it'll take awhile, what with WETA being so busy at the moment.
