In the past, Valkenhayn Hellsing was another one of the Six Heroes who helped defeat the Black Beast. He claims to have done some horrible acts during the war, but seems to have had a deal with the family of Rachel Alucard. He currently serves as Rachel's butler, acting in a sophisticated and classy manner.
Currently, Valkenhayn seems to be friends with Jubei, and is brave enough to attack Terumi on sight even in his smiling ghost form.
In Calamity Trigger, Valkenhayn is an unplayable character, though he appears in the story.
In Continuum Shift, Valkenhayn is set to be released as a playable character through DLC. He attacks with a fighting style similar to that of Slayer from the Guilty Gear series and also has the power to transform into a werewolf on command with the press of a D button. In the game, the wolf form gives him access to different attacks that let him dash across the screen and set up or continue combos. However, while in wolf form, he cannot block, and the wolf form itself can only be maintained as long as Valkenhayn is not hit by his opponent or runs out of his "wolf gauge" meter at the bottom of the screen.
