The Modern Indiana Jones Game
I have not played the original Uncharted, but after playing this. I'm considering to go back and check it out. Although, I think a lot of people can get away with skipping the original and playing this only (if they're on a budget or something).
This game feels like a mix of Gears of War, Assassin's Creed, and God of War. Why? The shooting mechanics were basically pulled from Gears of War, but doesn't feel as tight. Moving around the world felt like it was pulled from Assassin's Creed, but this game implements it more cleverly (I think). It has puzzle elements that resembles some of the earlier God of War games. Does this mix go together? Yes, yes indeed it does, and boy do the folks at Naughty Dog mix it well!
Not only does it pull off the game elements so well. It is presented beautifully with a story that hooks you in like Raiders of the Lost Ark. I got to say, the folks at Naughty Dogs has done a helluva job on getting the world fleshed out for eye candy graphics. This was one of the first PS3 titles that stunned me with its graphics and can not wait to see the future titles from Naughty Dog! The story is really good, you're just going to have to take my word on this as if I even say anything about the what goes on in the game it would spoil it; and due to huge credits to the voice cast and motion capture they did. The documentary on how they made this game is awesome too!
I'm just going to say, this is a must have title if you own a PS3 - it's just that good!
