Oh my head hurts...just read on 0

I will preface this review by admitting i have been less than kind to bad games in the past, going so far in a case or two to have resorted to making disparaging comments to the vices of developers, insinuating that possibly they had some problems with alchoholic beverages and a penchant for over consumption resulting in the sub-standard development of the game in question. i will not be doing so for Turning Point. In the vein of and interest for balanced review let us examine the positive aspect...

    disapointing 0

What do you get when you combine ww2 and a twist? A completely average game. With a go nowhere story that sounds like it was written by a 10 year old, how could you go wrong? Oh, you could! The graphics are last gen and is riddled with graphical glitches. This game is just plain disapointing. the music? kick ass! (oddly enough) guns are fake, mp 50? Gweher 47? wtf is this? Some times you just dont know where to go because they are either in places you would never go or just impossible to get to, m...

So the Nazis come across the pond and invade New York and the rest of USA. Playing as a resistance fighter you fight back against the new regime and take back the war.  First of all the controls seem to get worse and worse as the game goes on.  I can see why the demo was the first levels because the farther you play into this game the more the bugs seem to show themselves.  Frame rate problems become a huge issue when shooting at multiple enemies. There is not much of a story other than the mai...

Way too short and a technically broken game 2

You're a construction worker called Carson. You start the game at the top of a sky scraper that's under construction and you quickly see the start of the Nazi invasion. You decide to fight back and join up with the resistance.Good things:The games premise.Great explosions.Decent enough music.First sequence is impressive.Bad things:Really really short singeplayer campaign.Technically broken (Slowdowns, texture glitches, in game loading times etc).Terrible hit detection.Game world isn't very inter...

dogsounds reviews: Fall of Quality: Point Of No Return 0

This review is for the DEMO of Turning Point: Fall Of Liberty  available on Xbox Live and was written January 2008.So, I have just played the demo for Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. Another WWII-era FPS (which is fine, I love 'em), but this time with a twist. The game has a fantastic premise: Winston Churchill is hit by a taxi in New York before the outbreak of war, and before he took the office of Prime Minister (true) and dies (not true, and this is where things get interesting). The story li...

Turning Point: Fall Of Liberty 0

Being a fan of FPS' I downloaded the Demo for Turning Point: Fall Of Liberty and enjoyed it. It was nothing great, but a fun game. I didn't think it was worth full price, so I waited 'till I found one on e-bay for $20. After playing the demo I didn't see how this game was getting under 5 scores. Then, after getting the game, it was clear why. The bad outweighs the good.THE BAD:-Choppy framerate-Loading screens right while you're in the middle of battle and climbing up ladders-Game freezes from t...

Turning Point Fall of Liberty 0

This is by far the most disappointing game ever created (except for maybe ET).  This brilliant idea of bringing the second world war to the united states had so much promise, especially with the modern, next gen systems.  Yet this game failed on a graphic, and all around game play level.  This would have been a mediocre game even in the play station era.  If possible i would hive this game negative stars for being the most disappointing game i have ever seen.  I would rather play two worlds than...

More of the same, but worse. 0

I am pretty indiscriminate about what I play. Games show up in my mailbox, I play them, usually find something of worth and then send them on their way. It should come as no surprise that a significant portion of what I play amount to below average games, but even then almost every game has at least one or two redeeming features; something to hold on to that will get me through to the end. I enjoy playing videogames enough that I really don't mind having to overlook three terrible things to get ...
