Im not sure who else this has affected but this is how it is in the land down under.

Most of you know of the whole Sony, Ghostbusters, weird, publishing thing in Europe and Australia (and Kiwi Land).
And it was comforting to know that Ghostbusters in America was going to be region free... Thanks Atari of the US of A.

So the latest from the weird of Sony.

I'm not to sure if it is known (did a quick search of the forums and stuff and found nudda) but it seems that Sony Computer Entertainment Australia has secured the publishing rights the Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen Game on PSP.  Weird 1.

Weirder is what Sony has decided to do with that right.  They have decided to give it away free with any new purchase of a PSP console... that's fine.  BUT THAT IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN GET THE GAME.

They haven't allowed the game for single sale ONLY for bundling with new PSP purchases.  Which leaves the current PSP users base hung out to dry.  Now I don't own a PSP... I chose and Iphone but whilst the game itself may or may not be good, I do believe that all of the PSP user base in Australia should be entitled to play this game if they so choose.  Now I'm pretty sure that most PSP games (if not all) are region free.  So much like the Ghostbusters thing, people should be able to import this game no problem.  Which leaves Australian retailers high and dry because PSP don't sell well anyway.  Oh well hopefully Sony will see sense soon.

That sounds pretty dumb. Doubt they will miss out on much though as the game will more than likely be awful.
