The tenth game in the Tony Hawk series, RIDE featured the use of a newly conceived skateboard peripheral in an attempt, by Activision, to reboot the series.
Yep you'll have to pony up 200 dollars to play the New Tony Hawk game (PS3, xbox 360 and Wii) when it will hit stores or you could pre-order the game with out knowing if it will be good or not for 80 dollar less.
The way they word it is rather odd though, It looks certain that the pre-order "deal" for the 3 consoles is 120 dollar but the "normal" price is not exactly indicated however the 360 version does show that the "old price" was 200 dollar and that you would be saving 80 dollars by pre-ordering thus it would be safe to assume that this pack will cost 200 Dollar when the game comes out October 13th in the US.
For comparison Wii Fit is 90 dollars And Rock Band 2 with all the instruments is 190 dollars.
The game really ought to be good if it will be selling for 200 dollars (game plus board), even if it ends up selling for 120 dollars that is still quite a price for a single game. Unfortunatly the couple of iterations of the Tony Hawk series (excluding the DS ones) have been of somewhat lacking interest so it's really hard to see this be spectacularly good enough to warrant the price.
Yep... I haven't played a Tony Hawk game in awhile. I'll base my purchasing decision on whatever great green-screen skateboarding videos the Bombcast guys put out. Silver lining.
