I have been in Japan for 3 years now. I have wanted to go to TGS since I arrived in Japan. This will be my first trip to TGS, and I am really excited about it for a couple of reasons. I have made all of the steps in my life that I have set out for my self. I have come to Japan. I have learned some Japanese (I need to learn more). I have had some articles published about video games. I now need to make the final steps to becoming a video game journalist. I am also really excited about a few games that are going to be at TGS, because, in Japan, Japanese people don't have to worry about any stigmas that pertain to religion; at least not as much as in the US. For this reason, I am really excited to see El Shaddai. This seems like a really unique idea and an idea that is after my own heart.

In two days I will be walking the streets of Tokyo for the first time in almost 18 months. I am so excited about TGS and the possibility to meet some people from the industry. I also have a small shopping list of games that I need to hunt for in Akihabara. I really think that this trip to Tokyo is going to be very fruitful for my career and my game collection. I will stop by at a few local shrines and throw my 5 yen down to see if the gods will bless this trip and bless me with prosperity in the future. If not, hopefully they can just bless me with some good food, good drinks and some good random that likes cute nerdy fat guys. For this kind of event, I'm gonna have to work harder than usual.
