Color-coded keys are a device used in games to ensure players move through a level in the intended, structured order. These cleverly tinted objects only work in doors and locks of the same color.
A moving belt that transports objects (and player characters and non-player characters) from one place to another.
Doors are a common object in most video games, as well as the keys and objects needed to open them. From role playing to shooters, doors are an important component of many games.
Used to open doors, or anything else that is locked. In any game where the player has an inventory, it's a safe bet that a key will appear at some point.

A long slender object used to hold up flags or signs. Frequently used in platforming games.
Usually a Button, lever, or computerized scanner used to open, close, power on, turn on, or unlock something. Found common in most games that involve puzzle solving as well as shooters.
Whoever built, discovered or reverse-engineered them, teleporters get you where you want to go immediately. Hopefully without materializing you halfway into a wall.
