A tennis court is an area on which tennis is played, rectangular in dimension and replete with a firm surface to help the tennis ball bounce. A net separates the tennis court in half. Strung low and tight across the center of the court, it acts as the dividing line between each player's half.
Tennis courts come in a variety of surfaces, including grass, clay, artificial, and carpet.
