hopefully should be a great update, certainly the demoman charges now being less useful will be good, because hopefully people now will not be able to just spam an area. and they can only be destroyed by bullets right, not rockets, or other stickies
Team Fortress 2
Game » consists of 12 releases. Released Oct 10, 2007
The long-awaited sequel to the class-based first-person shooter Team Fortress Classic sports a unique cartoony visual style, more accessible gameplay, and a very large amount of updates and new features since its original release.
Valve Not Done With TF2 Yet, 360 Getting PC Content
Those sound like some interesting updates. I'm not sure what changes were needed in the first part of Goldrush, always seems more like stage two, capture two is the hard one. Upgrading dispensers and teleporters sounds cool. Stickies will be less useful now and the cloak improvement sounds good for spies. It will be interesting to see what the scout achievements and unlockables will be. I'm very impressed with the constant support Valve has shown this game for the last year as well as how well they've done at providing unlcokables that are nicely balanced.
Dude, I love Valve.
You know me B, I'm a walking Valve man-crush but I'm telling you, they keep deliving quality shit for their games. These TF2 changes are great...
And I'm still playing L4D....so goes my extended love affair. :)
And if you don't get on an rape zombies with me soon I'm coming after you.
This is cool and all, but I don't see anyone going on and playing the console version. Its pretty much pointless now. If you wanted to play TF2 you should have gotten the PC version already because NO ONE plays the 360 or PS3 version at all anymore. I say if you want to play TF2, get it for the PC. You don't even need that good of a computer to play it. It works perfectly with standard hardware.
Anybody still playing Team Fortress 2 out there, or have Gears 2, Left 4 Dead, and other shiny new toys distracted you?
What kind of question is that? of course people still play that game! It's still awesome more then a year after release. Although i took a slight break over the last few weeks with all the games coming out.
Thank God, I love Team Fortress 2, I have it for both 360 and PC however I'm no good at PC FPS's so I mainly play on the Xbox.
I'm so glad Valve isn't leaving TF2 on the 360 out to rot. It's my favorite multiplayer game of all time, even more than Left 4 Dead.
If you wanna play send me a friend request @ DonaldKnoxS4C, let me know your from GiantBomb though.
Thanks for posting this story guys... It gives me hope for Left 4 Dead.
"NO ONE plays the 360 or PS3 version at all anymore.Don't spread lies. While not as robust as the more popular 360 games (Halo, Gears, CoD4) the community for TF2 is still very much alive on the 360 (albeit, smaller). Just about everybody I talk to on Live has been talking about wanting the updates, and how excited they will be to get them once they release.
Enough people will buy this to justify Valve's effort to deliver it to us.
Glad to see this! Gosh! I haven't played TF2 in forever. I liked the game a lot, but the lag could get pretty horrendous at times. Still, it is comforting to see Valve pay some attention to the 360. While this does prove that Valve is not only focus on the PC, it still does not completely convince me that they are going to back up Left 4 Dead as good as they probably could. If the 360 version of L4D goes for quite a while without major updates, patches and downloads, then there is a good chance I might sell my 360 version and switch to the good ol' PC.
I play TF2 almost every day on the 360. I've probably invested more time into that game than any other in my life; and that's saying alot. It breaks my heart how much they've neglected the 360 users. I keep telling myself to get the PC version, I've just never got to it. I like to play vids on console, not on my PC. If this DLC doesn't come out sooner than later, I may have to resort to the PC version.
A patch is needed more then anything else, It's terrible how ignored the game has been over the years.
" Isuspect the PC users don't have mics. having a mic in the 360 version is a great asset. "
Most dont in public matches but in clans its a lot more common. Some clans even have it as a requirment. On public servers its usually one or two people who usually know what there doing and become ad-hoc team leaders/strategists.
