    Overview

    Tango Fiesta is a shooter developed by Spilt Milk Studios and originally published by Mastertronic for Mac and PC.

    Released for Xbox One and PS4 on the 16th May 2017, ported and published by Merge Games

    Mastertronic went into administration a few months later, and since the end of 2015 Spilt Milk Studios has been the publisher on Steam.

    Originally created as a gamejam game for EGX 2013. The theme for the jam was "the 1980's", and was sponsored by Creative Assembly. Tango Fiesta did not win, but was the only game in the jam to land a publishing deal, and then a commercial release.

    An update was released on the 16th of June 2020 which added a new Arcade Mode. Arcade Mode randomises enemies, levels and Boss order while escalating the difficulty as players progress, trying to get as high a score as possible with one life.

    This update also rolled in changes, bug fixes and improvements from the PS4 and Xbox One ports.
