    Overview

    The core game is set during a Cold War era proxy conflict between the fictional Middle Eastern countries Dhimar and Paran, backed by the US and USSR respectively.

    Expansion Packs

    Third Wire Productions rereleased their previous games Wings Over Europe, Wings Over Israel and Wings Over Vietnam with updated graphics as stand-alone expansions to Strike Fighters 2, which could be merged with the base install of SF2 to make all aircraft and locations available.

    Two expansion packs requiring Strike Fighters 2: Israel were released in 2010, with two more announced in 2012 but never released.
