As the title suggests, Christian Svensson has posted on the Capcom Unity forums that the PS1 version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 is coming to PSN in October.  It is not a huge surprise considering that the PS1 versions of the other Alpha games are on PSN, but it has been quite a while since Alpha 2 was added.  I have not purchased either of the prior Alpha games on PSN, so I don't know if online multiplayer would be available.  However, all you folks clamoring to play as Karin or Rolento on a current-gen system can (sort of) get your fix pretty soon.

This is only the PS1 version of the game as a part of PSN's PlayStation Classics line-up. That means there isn't any online to begin with.

Ugh, so PS1 loadtimes confirmed, if it really is a port.

The PSP version of Alpha 3 has been on PSN for ages, they should just release that...

I remember playing a lot of Alpha 3 back on the ps1.  Although, I'm going to go on a limb and say I wasn't very good because I often suck at fighting games.

I love Alpha 3 but if I was going to buy it on a current gen console I would want it to have online. Until then I'll continue to play it on GGPO.

Meh, got SAT version, want OE, not this. Bout time though.

Because that would take more development resources than just porting it over using whatever standard process is used for PSN Classics.
