I could see the game wearing thin if it were anywhere as long as Nioh but from what I understand this is not the case.
You bring up an interesting point about length in comparison to Nioh. Both those games were pretty long to begin with and had two difficulty levels meant to be played consecutively à la Diablo... and then each of the subsequent three DLCs not only added a whole additional region with at least half a dozen levels, but also added a new difficulty setting to play through. I really liked those games, but man... that got exhausting, playing through the same content five times.
(Though at least they did more creative things for the difficulty levels other than just scaling up enemy health and damage, like going to the trouble of switching out enemy types and placement, etc.)
Anyway, now I'm seeing that this game also starts out with two difficulty levels... well, more than that, but I mean in the sense that you need to unlock "Chaos" difficulty by clearing the game on any of the other difficulty levels first (of course it would be called "Chaos" *obligatory eye roll*). So I'm more or less expecting that each of the DLCs will follow that Nioh pattern of adding some new stages along with a new difficulty setting on top, and very possibly a whole new tier of loot rarity at some point.
Which is all to say: if they do plan on making you play through the same content five consecutive times, it's probably for the best that it's shorter than the Nioh games.
But the real question is: now that they've already called the highest difficulty "Chaos," they've sort of backed themselves into a corner, haven't they? What the hell are they going to call difficulties 3, 4, and 5? "Chaos-ier," "Chaos-iest," and "Chaos-ception"? Or maybe "True Chaos," "Kill Chaos," and "Chaos My Way/I Am Chaos"?
