Considered one of the most frequent and controversial implements of destruction in video games and real life, guns are devices that fire projectiles with explosive force.
The Harvestor is the fundamental structure of the Zerg. It produces larvas, which is used to morph into various units, it digests minerals and vespene gas more usable things, it spawns creep, and has various upgrades available.
Whether it's worn for protection or style, helmets appear in various game genres.
A homing missile is a missile that locks on to and follows its target. Homing missiles are featured in lots of games, from old school to new school.
A Zerg structure that allows the production of Hydralisks, as well as upgrades for it.
Hyperion is battlecruiser, currently commanded by Jim Raynor. In early story of StarCraft, Hyperion was in possession of Arcturus Mengsk and was the mobile HQ for Sons of Korhal.
Frozen water that can be a hazard to the player or used as a weapon.
Terran's Command Center infected by Zerg Queen
A laser is a focused beam of light, invisible through the air without some other medium (such as smoke) to illuminate it. Lasers are often used in video games as part of a targeting system, or as an offensive weapon in their own right.
Allows characters to "illuminate" targets, enabling far-off aircraft, artillery, or missles to strike targets within the character's line of sight.
Mechs (or Mecha) are humanoid-like pilot driven vehicles often depicted in media as a combat machine. Early examples of Mech/Mecha in video games are often derived from early manga and anime as well as table-top games.
An explosive ordinance propelled by a rocket engine designed to blow an object to smithereens. A missile is often guided, in some way, to its target. For example; by laser, remote control, or computer/GPS.
A Terran anti-air tower, also functions as a Detector.
The Nexus is the fundamental structure of the Protoss. It is the place where all minerals and vespene gas are dropped off to produce resources. It is the hub of any Protoss base. It has one ability (Chrono Boost) that increases production speed of any structure by 50%.
A nuclear bomb is a device made up of fissionable materials (ie Uranium) and standard explosives. It creates a nuclear chain reaction, which release large amounts of radiation and a shockwave.
A Protoss invisible scouting unit. It also functions as a Detector.
A Protoss defense structure. Attacks both ground and air units. It also functions as a Detector.
Power armor (also referred to as a powered exoskeleton) is a form of full-body armor, that uses electronics and micromachinery to enhance the wearer's performance.
Any structure which generates and provides power for other structures. These structures are usually critical to game play being required to maintain and grow influence and resources.
A probe has many uses:to explore for things like life forms, planets, or minerals; medically to explore the inside of a life form; or for navigation. Some probes are self-replicating synthetic beings. In the Starcraft series, a Probe is the basic harvester of the Protoss; it also summons buildings.
A pylon is a Protoss structure needed for a probe to be able to warp in most Protoss buildings.
A Terran structure that must be placed upon a vespene geyser, so that SCVs can collect vespene gas from it.
A mechanical lifeform, typically exhibiting superhuman abilities, that can be found in games as either the main protaganist or as powerful enemies or allies.
A Protoss structure that allows Colossus to be warped in.
A Protoss structure that allows several, more advanced, units to be warped in.
A large flying Terran support unit. Is capable of several support abilities such as irradiate or EMP.
The ultimate weapon attachment that uses telescope optics to enlarge distant targets thus increasing your accuracy.
Scourges are expandable air units from the Zerg race in the Starcraft series.
Scouts are the Protoss aircrafts that are designed to discover and explore new areas.
The SCV is the basic resource harvester of the Terran race. It can also construct buildings and repair them or other mechanical units.
