    She has a troubled history with Indy and the two end up rekindling their old romance through the course of the game. What sets her apart from other romantic interests in the franchise is her psychic power - a power she uses to talk to the dead Nur-Ab-Zaal, the Atlantean demi-god. In the last act, Marion is briefly possessed by his spirit, and his terrible intentions become apparent.

    Sophia can join Indy's quest for large portions of the game, especially if Indy picks the "teamwork" story branch at the end of the first act.
