    Sketih's first appearance in the .hack games is in .hack//INFECTION, but he previously enters the .hack franchise through a different medium - the anime .hack//SIGN. There, Skeith data drains Sora, who has betrayed Morgana, and whose player falls into a coma in the real world.  
     
    Skeith is next seen in .hack//INFECTION chasing Aura. As a phase, he can use the data drain ability, and in using it against Orca, he sets in motion the chain of events that will lead to Kite obtaining the Twilight Bracelet, and ultimately his own defeat.
