    Simon Pheonix was a particularly dangerous and sadistic criminal who rose to prominence during the late 20th century in South Central L.A.

    His reign as a criminal kingpin (which included crimes like tax evasion, murder, and everything in-between) ended in 1996 when he was apprehended by a cop named John Spartan. He was then incarcerated in a Cryoprison, where he remained for 36 years.

    Simon Pheonix was eventually resuscitated in 2032 for a parole hearing, during which he managed to make his escape.
