I could gush about Donald Glover so much. Dude is a hustler in the real sense of the word for sure. His parents were foster parents and he's spoken about how there were always just lots of kids around and how he had to work hard and push himself to really stand out. After graduating from NYU, he was a writer on 30 Rock after really impressing Tina Fey and even appears in some scenes. Then there was the Derrick Comedy stuff such as Bro Rape that really blew up as well as the Mystery Team which also became a film which is where I also found out he was rapping as Childish Gambino.

Time to put a Li-Po in my controller.

We found the missing Dual Shock trigger. Should I wait till next week's show to try to put it back together or just do it on my own time?

@brad: Fixing the controller off camera might be a safer bet. Feeling rushed while on video could cause the loss of more pieces or controller damage.

@brad: assemble it on the next UPF next Friday and then test it out. We must know if the issue has been resolved or not. If it is not resolved then this is 100% a problem caused by Dan Ryckert rendering this controller inoperable.

The new player keeps randomly stopping the video. :/

Seconding what jason is talking about RE: 8bit do. @unastrike The famicom 30 w/ the joysticks is just a bad controller. I got that one for my own retropie build, then my dad wanted his so i got him the Super Famicom version (since that was his console of choice) and HOLY CRAP that controller is leaps and bounds better.

I was lucky and found a massdrop for the super famicom one so it only cost me like 22 bucks but its so so so so so so SO good.

I'm having some problems with this new video player. I can't seem to play the video unless its at the lowest setting, I cannot skip ahead in the video, it took me about 30 seconds before I could pause the video, and when I was trying to change the quality settings it reloaded as a different video page on giant bomb. (EDIT: also there are times when the video will pause and the audio will keep going)

In the hockey game section;

@squigiliwams: I have an SFC30 and it's got one of the worst, rattly and imprecise d-pads I've ever used. I had an NES30 Pro for under a week - At least the SFC30 keeps connection, the more expensive one didn't and I returned it.

For me anyway, the iBuffalo SNES pads are miles better for half the price

Rorie's history of the phrase "real McCoy" isn't actually fully substantiated, especially since there's some evidence the phrase is based on "the real Mackay" from the late 1800s, which is before US prohibition.

It may have been revived in the US during prohibition, but I'm not sure it came from that time period or even from the events Rorie describes.

They talked about the Calgary Flames! Haha never expected to hear my team on Giant Bomb, even if it is in reference to Dennis Wideman, bane of Calgary, destroying a ref for... reasons.
