I will probable get this in Jan or Feb. I love fighting games but I have bought over 20 games in the last 3 months. I need to beat those games first. I does seem like a great package to me. 40 bucks for a movie, a nice demo and a remake a pretty darn good game (Tekken Tag) . I use to beat down fools with Eddy back in the arcades. I do wish it was online though.

The existence of those 10 hit combos are silly. Never mind the fact that they aren't even really combos, Namco keeps throwing them in there and only recently starting adding the games "true" combos (juggles) to the character move list in Tekken 6.

Either way, I'm looking forward to messing around with the demo and seeing how the movement feels in Tekken Tag 2. Just too bad the character selection is pretty garbage.

One thing I never like about Tekken was the more offbeat characters. Like Kuma the Kangaroo and the Devil characters.

I always thought Tekken Tag was a best-of Tekken based upon Tekken 3 (the best Tekken) mechanics, which would make it the best Tekken every made. This was a few years back though...

Man, the revolving stage effect never gets old.

Being a fan Japanese CG I kinda just want the movie. These add on's aren't worth $30 extra to me.

I'm a big Tekken fan and Tag is somewhere up there in my favorites in the series, so I'm getting this soon.

I remember when this game looked incredible.

It's how they look in the CG movie, they will not look like that in the final game.

Its not like they're adding lots of 10 hits every game. Plus, they need to exist so everyone gets to laugh when a pro forgets when to low parry on a 10 hit :D

Was this something in Tekken 6 then? Because I never saw an option like that in any of the earlier ones.

Anyhow, my issue is just that, that Tekken has always (as long as they've had actual lines for the characters at least) had characters speaking separate languages. I just want to see them go all the way and have ALL characters speak the language from their supposed country of origin.

for tag 2, they are pushing more characters to speak their native tongue. Normally, it was either they spoke english or japanese or chinese (feng, wang)

I thought the CG ending movies were the fucking balls when I played them in middle school for Tekken 2... Looking back, they made very little sense.

I think the new art for the tekken games has gotten much better.

School girls = instant 5 stars.

This game does't seem necessary. They better have some cg movies at the end of the arcade mode for each character, and maybe I'll consider. What's up with not seeing the model stuff on this quick look, Jeff and Ryan?

I hope Tekken Hybrid hits bargain bins in less than a month after it's release. A HD remake of Tekken Tag Tournament is the ONLY thing I have interest in with this set. I don't see myself paying money for a demo of Tekken Tag 2 or a movie I couldn't care less about otherwise.

Tekken Tag Tournament was by far my favourite Tekken.

I've got fond memories of that game. Especially local play.

Oh and Super Mario Kart 64 was the best Mario Kart.

I LOVED Tekken Tag for its time, but Tekken 6 killed me. Used to be a franchise I love, now I could not care any less about Tekken.

Tag was the first game I owned for the PS2 so it holds a pretty special place in my heart. Still, I totally get why someone would think this is dumb.

I do wonder where the Tekken Tag hate comes from. Considering it was a PS2 launch game, I remember a whoooooole lot of people digging the crap out of Tekken Tag back "in the day" (a decade ago). It was a like a waaaaaay better looking Tekken 3, if I remember correctly. Personally I hated 'em all until Tekken 5 when the animation system got tightened up a bit and could provide for responsive and slightly more freeform combat than the shitty, pre-canned Mortal Kombat style dial-a-combos the series is known for, but that's just me. Not to mention, Tekken 5 ONLINE is available on the Playstation Network for $20 or something.

I really hate Tekken.

Fight to some dubstep. Also trophies for the demo. Also Gon > everyone.

Part of me really wants to check this out...I liked Tekken 2, 3, and 5. Still not sure if I should bite on it though for the price.

Played ridiculous amounts of this game with friends when it came out. I'm terrible at fighting games, though, so button-mashing was my go-to strategy.

I have a feeling they going to be 3 different verisons of Jin in Tekken Tag 2 and 2 different verisons of Kazuya

Tekken have always been a PS1 era franchise to me. It was something I played because it was better than Battle Arena Toshinden that was the 3D fighting game to play on the console before Tekken.

However I must admit the art style is very good compared to many other fighting games. Lili Rochefort has more sense of style than the DoA girls put together.

Don't worry, you'll probably grow out of that way of thinking. I used to think that way when I was 15, but now I just listen to what sounds good to me, and it feels so good not having to worry about it.

Don't like it you say? There's a legitimate option not to.

What is the CGI film like? Won't mind having tekken tag HD but $40 seems a bit much for that and a demo, maybe get this in Jan when it's on sale

i can't ever get into Tekken, and this look a lot like Tekken 6. i think it'll be a pass for me.  the soundtrack sounds great though
