The best part of this game is the shot of sushi cat in the opening cutscene. If anyone wants to play an actually good game, go look up sushi cat it's delightful.

The writing reminds me of Borderlands 2.

Dan says there are lots of better "splatformers", but I guess I don't know about them. I loved Super Meat Boy, what's the best one that's not that? Maybe I should try (Ms.) Splosion Man... any other good ones on switch?

I don't think I've ever heard the term "splat-former" before. And maybe that's on me, but we go through whatever a rogue-like or rogue-light is every time once of those games get quick-looked.

Vinnie created the term splatformer some years back, which is why Dan said Vinnie's name right after calling it a splatformer. It's just for games like Super Meat Boy, this game, and others where it's typically a 2D platformer that's meant to kill you over and over with short, difficult stages.

Controversial opinion: Arin Hanson is one of this generation's worst """""voice actors""""". I stopped watching Game Grumps because I could no longer tolerate either of the two terrible "funny" voices he whips out ad nauseum.

Honestly Dan showed significant restraint regarding the humor. I don't think I would have been able to.

Egoraptor is actually convinced he's a voice actor.

The humor is pretty bad and the voice delivery even worse, but there is something about Dan getting so angry about it that is always really weird and off-putting.

Egoraptor was never funny so it checks out that that remains consistent no matter what form he comes in

When the one thing you have to complain about is easily fixable by just turning down the voice over volume, why keep railing on it?

Also, I for one like Seth MacFarlane. I'll admit some jokes can rub people the wrong way but in general, his shows are generally good. And I can tell you, that voice doesn't automatically mean Stewie. I'm pretty sure Dan's brand of humour annoy other people.

I can't play games like this even when they are considered exceptionally good. They work on a need to not fail, to the point of addiction. You can't quit when something is kicking your butt. And that is always the next sequence of this kind of game.

The humor here may be considered borrowed or derived, but it serves it's purpose well. It pisses you off onward.

So basically Dan hates himself. Everything he yelled about I yell about Dan in every video.

I think Arin Hanson is a pretty talented guy, but this is bad. Sounds like he's just going through the motions, and the writing is abysmal.
