Alex's description of Assassin's Creed as 'Historical Murder Tourism' was fantastic.

Seems to be they're finally recognizing the Switch's potential as a portable. It's probably about 70%-30% portable/docked for me right now.

Not sure exactly what Whitta is talking about that there is virtually no difference between the XB1 and PS4? Persona, Horizon, Until Dawn, Bloodborne, Nioh, Nier automata, Spider-Man, Death Stranding (eventually), basically all non nintendo JRPG's, all the Naughty Dog series? Those are some of my favorite gaming experiences ever, and a lot of stuff I can't wait for. Meanwhile Xbox has..... Forza?

I have to disagree with Gary that owning both consoles isn't worth it; I only had an XBone and bought a PS4 this month to play stuff like Horizon, Yakuza and MLB The Show, which I can't on the XBone.

Exclusives aren't prevalent in this generation, but they ARE still there.

I'd bring back Command and Conquer. The best RTS series. Have it be GDI and NOD with aliens as the potential 3rd race.

In ranking Nintendo franchises, feel like they forgot how big Fire Emblem is in Japan. And how Nintendo historically tends to care more about games big in Japan as opposed to ones that do better overseas like Metroid and Wars. Of course, FE is now huge worldwide, but it felt fairly niche before that.

Outstanding show! With my magic EA wand, I would bring back Dungeon Keeper. I would be happy with just an HD update to get into a decent screen size.

@huckleberrysassacre: Huge compared to earlier FE titles. FE is still commercially niche in the West.

@fm20000: Assume that any Japanese stuff might be a blind spot for Whitta and his comments become a bit more understandable.

@eribuster: Even with that blind spot, games like Horizon, Uncharted, Last of Us , Spiderman and Until Dawn are big enough games to be able to sway people to buy a playstation instead of a Xbox. Especially if you own a PC, since Xbox's play anywhere titles are there as well.

At the start of this console cycle i would have agreed with Gary . Playstation & Microsoft butting heads to make the 'best' console with 90% similar games + exclusives per platform, while Nintendo makes stuff you can't get anywhere else. But now we're in this cycle and we see that Sony is sticking to that idea, while Microsoft chooses to focus on Play Anywhere and Backwards compatibility instead of producing a great amount of new exclusives for the Xbox console. That's a pretty big shift that makes choosing one console over the other quite a meaningful choice.

So you get mad because someone ignores games the PS4 has and then go and ignore all the games the Xbox has. Nice...

w/ all the discussion about e3 itd be really interesting to see an e3 organiser on the couch next year to talk about the show. they probably aren't the kind of organisation that lets their staff go out and talk to the press though. regarding Anthem, you could probably keep in mind that bioware was responsible for maintaining a service game in SWTOR and could probably use that knowledge to help keep anthem going

Don't agree with the games line-up being the same between the 2 consoles. I definitely chose the PS4 above the Xbox because of Sony's first party line-up. And looking back it was 100% the right choice for me.

it's kinda weird now hearing Alex said something and not hearing Dan or Vinny to interject.
