Hoping Jeff decides to do a Genesis stream soon to start a console war on the site for like a couple hours. Because yes, we need to see the first level of Revenge of Shinobi again.

As I was watching this stream, my local Target ended up getting in new stock of the SNES Classic. I called, and they had sold out. But then I called another one about 40 minutes away and hooray, they had it! And I successfully got one.

I'm one of the people that got a free GameFAQs shirt with my GB shirt order. Was pretty happy about it, thanks!

Hey @brad, Shadow of Mordor/War definitely feel pretty timeless as far as fitting in with the rest of the canon. I don't recall that many points which are intended to hook into the chronology of the novels.

The main thing which throws a spoke in the works is Gollum - if he's searching for the Precious I dont see how it can be anything other than that 50 year window between Hobbit and Fellowship.

I remember feeling that while SoM wasn't a perfect adaptation of the source material by any means but had some nice pieces of on-theme storytelling, especially in some of the collectables. Opinion is still out on SoW.

What a coinkidink, I was just playing Donkey Kong Country on my SNES Classic while waiting for my computer to update. Woo, Playdate!

Seems plenty of people like Kirbys airride, that game is expensive as fuck to get nowadays. I've been curious about playing it since it came out but wanted to wait till I'd get discounted to +/- 20 euros. That never happened to my knowledge. And I ain't paying what they ask for it now.

I always said I like kirby games but thinking about it kirby 64 is the only one I've ever bothered to finish despite having played all of em...Im usually really high on em the first couple levels but then burn out about halfway through.

Kirby games are so good. They've basically been making the same one for 30 years in the main series, so I don't feel a need to check out every one of them, but boy are they solid. Kirby's Return to Dreamland is one of my favorite games on the Wii, and Kirby Super Star is particularly great too. I played the DS remake of it a few years ago. That game is just jam-packed with stuff, and I like how it has something like 5 different games in it with slightly different rules and separate stories.

@ravelle: Haha, very true. @ripelivejamIt would be cool to see a Breaking Ben where Dan or Jeff create some crazy Mario Maker levels. I miss Mario Maker content lol.

@benpack The reason Super Mario World didn't save all your progress when you restarted the game was because, well... you didn't save it. I mean, you did, but the last time you saved in the game itself was after you completed the secret ghost house.

The game doesn't give you the save prompt unless you complete certain levels like castles, fortresses, ghost houses, switch palaces, and after every 2 special levels (not star road levels), and since the last time you completed one of those levels was that ghost house, it was also the last time you saved your game.

Your progress should all be there now though since you guys completed the 2nd special level at the end.

The Hobbit sequels are so bad they made me like the first one.

Well I'll be damned, I finally agree with Rorie on something. HZD is my game of the year so far and can't wait to play the DLC.

So I got SNES Minis back in stock today. Just regular unsolicited retock. If my store got more so quick and efficiently, super not a game store btw, I'm thinking Nintendo might be making good on what they've been saying. These might be reasonably easy to get over time provided you have patients.
