Some of my best friends are PC games.

Interested in this because I believe I own this game, but never bothered to actually play it after hearing somewhat mixed reactions.

This game had some fun ideas in it.

I remember playing the demo for this over and over just messing around with the physics. Good times.

The Force Unleashed is a Great game

People always talk about Psi Ops but I always preferred Second Sight which came out at the same time. It had more sneaking and I was always a sucker for stealth games.

Had to stop after 3 mins. Hurt my heart haring you peeps denigrate a game I love so much. Starkiller is still my favourite SW character.

I kinda felt the guys had a good definition of what you considered a B game with their short summary at the start of the series. After this though I have no idea what they consider a B game. Of course it does not actually matter in the end as long as the game is fun to watch. Especially since I have figured out the real secret reason of what constitutes a B game an older game the guys want to play at the moment.

I was mostly bored through the entirety of Force Unleashed, but I thought the DLC was absolutely amazing.

This game was part of a huge multimedia push by LucasArts and was even considered pretty high up in the canon for a time. It was a really big release. I'm pretty sure Lucas himself even had a hand in it. I don't think the reviews were even that bad, overall. Weird to see it considered a B-game

The Force Unleashed II you could probably make an argument for, though.

Won't say no to GB content, though.

Enjoyed this, but I would not consider the Force Unleashed to be a B game under any circumstance. Your definition of b game is like people judging wines.

This B-game episode was basically a playdate.

There's something about this game. It's one of those games that I know if I were given a copy I would play it through and totally enjoy my time with it. But if I spent more than like $4 I know it would impact my enjoyment.

There's just something about it that repels me from paying for it, I'm looking at a copy for $7.50 USD on ebay and I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger haha.

PC is a much smaller audience

I mean, C&C as a series has sold ~30 million games. For some random comparisons, Metal Gear ~50 million, Guitar Hero ~40 million, Mario Party ~40 million, Splinter Cell 30 million, Metroid 18 million, Forza 16 million, Hitman 15 million.

At 90 million sales, it's not exactly a huge gulf in total sales. Big, but comparable.

Uhm, excuse me, my dudes. I have to come out of the shadows and say that as someone that that recently replayed Kotor I and II, Kotor II is undeniably the better. They both play like arse, but II is more interesting and the story more dynamic. I"m not even sure why there is a dark path in the first game, it has no effect on your party until the last hour. At least in Kotor II it actually feels like your party members are alive and react to things. Plus it's about Sith Lords. Darth Nihlus. C'mon.

I wanted to love force unleashed, but the controls were stiff and awkward and I put it down really quick

Guys, a B-movie is a low-budget movie. It isn't defined by quality. You seem to get this, saying there are great B-games, but you simultaneously keep wondering if a lame big budget game is a B-game. It can't be one. Stop!!!!!!!!!!

@sankis: I agree with you on this. The Force Unleashed had too much behind it to be a B game. I could be wrong, but I don't remember nearly as much hype or marketing around the sequel.

Yeah, I've never understood calling a game shit while ignoring literally all of the controls.

I'm 1/8th PC game and I'm offended by Dan Ryckert's comments.

The debate over what makes a game a B-game is the dumbest thing to happen on this website, and I say that while knowing full well a pie was once flushed down a toilet here.

This game was pretty alright. Def not a B game (this thing had a massive marketing push, and given that I doubt they skimped on dev costs), but it seems that ground was covered plenty in the chat, so I'll just add that I was always bummed that some of the mechanics and concepts in this game never got fully fleshed out. The second game was just kinda more of the first, but without the novelty.

I get where they're coming from for calling this a B game, but this falls a little too close to a mediocre/poor A game to me. So many other extremely B ass B games to cover before this.

Star Wars Bounty Hunter is the most B game I can think of for Star Wars games, and it's actually pretty good.

This just isn't a B game. Also, I thought licensed stuff was going to be separate?

Dan seems to have completely backed away from his statement in the first episode about how whether or not a game is a B game has nothing to do with quality.

Count on film major @danryckert to correctly state that there are 14 Land Before Time "films". I was somewhat surprised it wasn't higher, but there was a long gap from 2007 to 2016 (thanks Obama).

@odinsmana I agree, this series got off to a promising start with a reasonably clear idea of what the term "B game" meant, but the intro here puts an end to that. They're contradicting themselves in the space of minutes, in particular regarding B-gameness and quality. That's ok though...I'll just pretend the B is for Beast and enjoy the content which is still good.

B-movies are literally defined by their budget, so I can't say I understand their intuition-based approach to defining B-games. With that said, it's also an overall harder undertaking since movies are open about their budgets while games are not.

In any case, I'm pretty fine with them playing it fast and loose with the definition but for the love of god, I hope them incessantly listing games and trying to justify whether they're B-games or not isn't a recurring theme of the series.

But to immediately go against what I just said, this is an A-game through and through, even if it's kind of bad.

This series is deceiving because FMV Vinny, Load Our Last Save, and Random PC Game were pretty much all B games.

I think if you're given the option to put in codes that potentially make it more fun then you should probably just use them

God, I hope they do Breakdown at some point--I got a big goofy grin on my face when Alex mentioned it. It's one of my favorite probably terrible games.

I will always maintain that this game was great. And I played it even before the patch smoothed out the targeting. Also my favorite Star Wars storytelling in a videogame.

@vinny, you're not wrong! Matt Sloan, voice of Chad Vader (of the Youtube series "Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager"), did indeed play the voice of Darth Vader in The Force Unleashed and its sequel.
