And also maybe record All Systems Goku twice a week with 6 episodes instead of 5? I don’t think it’s too much to ask.

I found this stretch with Dodoria and Zumba a little rough but after Dan raved on Twitter I had to get a sneak peek at the Ginyu Force and things are looking up for next week!

The Kai dub Ginyu force intro is the only version with the rad song. The other versions are super serious. Funimation knows what's up.

I was trying to do this at first, but I finished all of Dragonball Z Kai a few nights ago...

I'll just reiterate my posts that I make every week (with a twist). Hope they give abridged a shot once they're done with Kai. This particular stretch of episodes were absolutely gold in that (probably their peak imo). And it also has the added benefit of showing a few things every now and then that were cut out of kai but were worth watching/knowing about due to being fun.

And then there's the fact that you can nearly get through all of season 1, (raditz to vegeta), in the amount of time it takes to watch 5 regular episodes. Would be fun to see impressions of abridged as kind of an epilogue/post credits scene of sorts for this main podcast where they cover it for a few weeks.

I was just thinking Mobile Fighter G Gundam is very much like wrestling so if Dan likes the Ginyu Force that much, he might enjoy that show.

I don't think Vegeta is long for this series. He keeps getting owned because his hubris gets in the way. It's gonna come to a point where Dragon Balls to revive him and not a tanker on his peoples ship.

All Systems Goku 07 is going to be so good.

I'm gonna be that other guy and say there's a number of shows in here they definitely should not check out as it would push them even further away from anime. (Even if I personally enjoyed them) Dragonball Z is a very specific case of them seeing some neat things from FighterZ and wanting to find out more about it. It's been a fun surprise seeing them like the source material. We should really just leave it at that right now.

I do think they would enjoy the hell out of One Punch man though. But we're here for Dragonball, so I don't wanna be that guy too.

I’ve forgotten how much chemistry Dan & Jeff haven just naturally play off each other so well enough time has past that Dan no longer has to feel like Ryan’s replacement and moving East has made him away from the West guys enough that I genuinely miss him playing off Jeff and being a perfect foil to Brad.

Will we ever get a week where people don't tell them what they should be watching? Seriously just enjoy the content they are putting out and stop telling them what to do.

We're 6 episodes in, you should already know by now that this isn't going to make them watch it and they have already said they have no interest in Abridged or any other formats besides Kai.

Also, Abridged is kinda bad and not worth their time.

dan has to be saying "frizza" and "dodaria" on purpose at this point, like his ears work and he can hear jeff saying the names correctly, right? can't wait for next week's discussion of the ginyu force with all its members, jinyu, chase, barter, raccoon, and golgo

Hey I don't want to be that guy @danryckert but you should watch Neon Genesis Evangelion and Death Note.

Those two are good. NGE is like Metal Gear with some religious symbolism stuff and a bit of Twin Peaks style mystery and intrigue.

Death Note is like Dexter but good.

You keep pronouncing Frieza like "Pizza" (aka Frietza) and I can only directly assume that this is a personal attack on my sensibilities. Even my Grammarly app wants to autocorrect "Frietza" to "Frieza". Now I'm getting flashbacks to "Narootoh".

You can tell it's a joke, since a real recommendation would include 'Boku no Pico'.

Love the show. Here's hoping they do a live watch sometime (though it'd probably be a logistical nightmare). They could even get some Fritza and 40s.

I can't IMAGINE anyone being more bored than Dan Ryckert watching Death Note. People need to stop recommending anime.
