Schala is the Princess of Zeal in the 12,000 B.C. era of Chrono Trigger. Although she's a minor character, she is one of the primary links that connects the game to its sequel, Chrono Cross.

Lavos

The main antagonist of Chrono Trigger, Lavos is an alien parasite that arrived on Earth during the prehistoric era and proceeded to drain the planet of its life-force, as well as manipulating many of its inhabitants over several periods of time.
Queen Zeal

The ruler of the magical nation of Zeal in the 12,000 B.C. era of Chrono Trigger. Corrupted by Lavos, she becomes one of the game's primary villains.
Time Devourer

Time Devourer is the combination of Lavos and Schala when the two entities are pulled outside of the time stream in Chrono Trigger. It is the final boss in Chrono Cross and makes an appearance under the name Dream Devourer in the DS version of Chrono Trigger.
