Ive been playing S&S for a while, but still havent found the item that lets me leave messages. I figure its probably located somewhere in the early game, but I totally missed it. Anyone know where it is?

Its called a jurney bottle. If I remember correctly, if you go left out from the checkpoint (small sanctuary) before the first boss (sodden knight). And go down the ladder, you should be able to jump left across a gab and grab onto a ledge and go through a doorway to have the bottle be on the other side.

Edit: I just did it on my NG+ chr and that is where it is located.
