I think this is really clever. (:

The new Giant Bomb Ryan Davis shirt: What do you think?
This.. Is not what I wanted :( I wanted something I could wear and be proud of around other people :(
Didn't need to be sappy, but I would of liked the memorial shirt to be something I could have worn in public. That said... I'll be buying one to offer my support.
Personally I think it is pretty dumb. I imagine less people will buy the shirt since it probably is something that most people won't actually wear.
That's what I was going to make for an avatar after hearing about his death, but I wasn't sure if the comma was enough to convey proper meaning. I should have jumped on it. I could be rich!.... and by that I mean richer from having known of Ryan
i think i'dve preferred something like olly moss' art. this new shirt is clever, and is in-tone with the davis...but i'm not gonna wear that shirt.
I don't think the fuck is distasteful, but it means I won't be wearing the shirt in front of people. A cleaner version of the shirt would be great. As
said, 'Love Ryan Davis' would be a really nice alternative option.
Just to confirm, do all of the proceeds of this go towards Ryan's wife?
EDIT: I clicked the link and got my answer straight away, good to know there's a way to help out.
I would be happy to give a donation, but I honestly don't feel this was the best t-shirt they could have made.
While Fuck Ryan Davis and Fuck, Ryan Davis is hilarious I don't think I can get that T Shirt because I just wouldn't be able to wear it anywhere. Looking forward to the version I can wear places.
Pretty much agree with what everyone else has said. It is a nice gesture, but I want to wear a Ryan Davis shirt in public :(
@milkman: Yes thats true everyones complaining about it being too "blue" but the money will go to ryans wife and help towards funeral costs so thats the reason to buy it if you want to help out
Why wouldn't you wear this in public? I'm 100% sure that you have said fuck loudly in a bar or whatever at some point in your life. Cuss words are OK folks.
A lot of people made great tribute art honoring Ryan, and I feel that any of those would've been a better choice. That said I agree with Milkman it's where the money is going not the shirt that matters, but I'll wait and see if they make a shirt with a design I like more, if they don't I'll buy this one.

The reason they can't / won't use art is because of cost to produce. A single colour text shirt is cheap to produce, printing multi coloured art is not. If we want as much going to the good cause as possible then it needs to stay text based.

People wear worse shit in public, this is perfectly fine.
This is absolutely true, but that is at their individual choice. Many people would not be comfortable doing this. Remember that just because someone does it, doesn't mean that everyone else wants to do it.
I just don't see the issue.
I couldn't buy it fast enough, and damn straight I will wear this in public...under a long sleeved shirt.
I'll buy this, but I'm gonna buy the other one to wear in public. I'm not into the idea of children's moms yelling at me when I'm trying to be nice.
At people asking why profanity on a shirt is an issue: I'm sure it differs depending on location, but around here, you can get fined, thrown out, etc. for wearing something like that. Probably won't in most cases, but it can and has happened (hell, just a few months ago, two women got thrown out of a mall for wearing anti-cancer hats that actually had the word "fuck" semi-censored), and even when it doesn't, it's not worth getting endlessly accosted by passers-by.
