    Cunningham was one of the founding members of Relic Entertainment back in 1997, his key role as art director helped develop such games as Homeworld, Homeworld 2, Dawn of War and the Company of Heroes series. In 2007 Cunningham left Relic and established the eatART foundation; an organisation that helps artists develop large scale technical sculptures and investigates man's use of energy sources.

    Cunningham founded Blackbird Interactive in 2007 with other veteran's from EA Canada and Relic Entertainment, and opened up shop in 2010 developing their first game Hardware: Shipbreakers.
