    On the second to last mission of the game, Chernov is hit by a flamethrower as he is running up the steps towards the Reichstag with the Soviet banner. He is seen badly wounded with severe burns. It is unknown if he dies as he can be seen moving around clearly alive. He looks almost identical to Nazi Zombies character Nikolai Belinski
