Grubb's John Wick take is right. The first is great. In the sequels they get into a lot of boring bullshit and world building in a world that doesn't matter.

Sorry, did Grubb say Analogue makes 8bitdo controllers? Is this true? It surprised me to hear and I can't find any supporting evidence on google.

@dizial laid out a lot of points I agree with. I'm not interested in this particular game but all of the problems Jan listed in the first 8 minutes or so are literally bog standard mechanics for virtually every farming game (i.e. Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons, Coral Island).

I really don't think you can include Animal Crossing or Dreamlight Valley (both games I enjoyed a great deal) in the same genre. To reference today's Bombcast, they are farming games in exactly the same way that Sifu is a fighting game. Yes, they contain farming/fighting, but "farming game"/"fighting game" has a different, specific, established meaning.

No one recognized Carrie as Luke's sister from Gilmore Girls. :(

Huge BttF fan. Have seen the trilogy so many times. Never thought that line about the weather service meant they control the weather. Just that they can predict it extremely accurately, which is fantasy enough on its own to this day.

Edit to add: I love mint chocolate chip ice cream. I would hate it too if it tasted like toothpaste, but that has literally never happened.

Never has a game that is not Three Houses made me want to revisit Three Houses more.
