I'm usually so pumped for Evo, but after Street Fighter V was dull last year, and the way that game has been... I'm not feeling it as much this year.
Disappointing, but... now that I think about it, I'm looking forward to Xrd, KOF, Tekken, UMVC3 and DBZ!!
Most years I've only cared about Street Fighter and MVC3... SF left behind. ;(
I personally think Guilty Gear could be the real star of this Evo (despite not getting the stage it deserves on Sunday). I had high hopes for Tekken due to the amount of entries but I'm saddened by the comparative lack of East Asian players. I really hoped they would turn up big for this one but it's barely more than the usual suspects.
KoF will probably only be interesting if Xiao Hai gets put into losers/is eliminated.
Tekken 7 and Xrd will no doubt be amazing. I'll be looking forward to KOF as well, there is so much diversity in these three games both playstyle and roster wise.
I wouldn't mind missing UMVC3 and SFV this year but I'll tune in just to get the full experience, this is the least invested I've ever felt in Capcom's lineup, I really hope they can do something to change this with the rumoured Super SFV (and maybe Infinite won't suck...).
