@efesell: yes! After all these years, I’m still a little salty that we didn’t get anything else out of PoP 2008... :(

Still baffled at how they got away with a tower climbing simulator (Grow Up) as anything less than a metacommentary on what Ubisoft was doing to the business of video games.

Wait... what? I never even thought about Grow Up as a tower climbing simulator. Holy shirtballs...

Final Fantasy VII Remake is my GOTY and I don’t really see anything unseating it. It took things that made the original good, and expanded the story in great ways to make you care about characters that were barely characters in the original game, and did additional things to better the story that was already there and the relationships between major characters. And the combat, oh the combat! I thought it was great already on Normal, and I only truly came to appreciate how nuanced and deep it could get until I played through on Hard. Game clock says I spent over 95 hours on it, but it honestly didn’t feel like I even spent half that time. I’ve done everything I could in that game, including getting the Platinum trophy, and I still want to go back and play it more.

Other than FF7R, I’ve only really played AC: NH and P5R from the list. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore for the Switch is a game I enjoyed a ton and only finished now on the Switch as I never finished the original on Wii U; it is a port, but it’ll probably end up on my list anyways. I bought it, haven’t played it, but would it be cheating to put the Steam version of Persona 4 Golden on my list? XD

I’d love to give it a shot, but due to where I’m currently living any time I check out an anime’s page, I’m always told that it hasn’t been licensed for my region. Maybe one day when I move back home... maybe...

Just get a vpn. Many many better reasons to have it than this.

I do have a VPN. I actually suppose I looked into Crunchyroll before I obtained one.

That being said, does CR play nice with VPNs? I've previously heard about VPNs not playing nice with Netflix in some manner, so I'm not sure if the same would apply to CR...

I feel like condemning an entire country over questionable leadership is not great.

Just imagine if the US had questionable leadership some day, and all our companies faced a boycott.

I would say their actions up to this point have been far more than just simply "questionable", but you do you.

Just actually had the chance to recently un-mothball my Apple TV, and I haven't been having terrific results with all my devices playing well with each other (particularly the audio and whether it comes from the TV or from my soundbar). Looking forward to giving this a test drive (or flight as it were).

Hmm... you say at launch, but personally I'm not so sure if I'd get one at launch, simply because I don't know if the library will be there. I still have a considerable backlog of PS4 and Nintendo Switch games, so I'm not really at a loss for games to play. If the PS5 is backwards compatible and can play my PS4 games, that will certainly help, especially if they can play them better.

On the other hand, tech lust may take over and I might get one at launch anyways. $600 seems like the upper limit of what I'd find acceptable to pay, and unless there's a handful of "killer apps" around the launch window, I could see myself waiting until there's a price drop to $500 or some kind of bundle.

Congrats! Been testing the app for quite some time and there's a lot of positives going for it over the others.

One thing I wanted to mention, that I kept meaning to but it kept slipping my mind once I got busy. If a video is not labelled correctly by the system, or it is not assigned a certain "series" tag, the video will not show up in the downloads tab. So for instance, if I download a quick look, there will automatically be a quick look "folder" that is created in the downloads tab and the video will (obviously) be inside.

But if it's not labelled correctly, such as a couple Nancy Drew videos not having the Clue Crew label, or some that just don't fall into any particular bucket (like the video where they ranked Toonami anime), you cannot find the video in downloads. I had to scroll through the explore tab in order to find it, and in the case of the Toonami one, I was just scrolling through to see if I had missed watching anything and only then realized that I hadn't watched that particular video when I saw the 'downloaded' icon.

Other than that, great app, I love how you can see how much of the video you've watched and there's the continue watching carousel so I can easily go back and resume watching something I haven't finished. Fantastic job, Duder!
