Yeah, its crazy that the tutorial is longer and more in-depth but there are still plenty of things the game doesn't teach you. Wrapping my head around how intervention armies required a bit of outside research.
Oh man, you should really give Blitz another shot. I played it in the beta and, like you, I thought it was pretty lame but now that I've seen everything else in the game I actually really appreciate it. It's so fast and frenetic, a nice change of pace to the long matches of the other multiplayer modes. So far I haven't seen any reason to believe that someone who pumps a bunch of money into card packs will be far superior but getting them from challenges is a nice carrot-on-a-stick.
Yeah, its a strange way to go. It's a pretty standard model for mobile games in Japan but with Super Mario Run it seemed like Nintendo wasn't interested in these types of practices. It's a shame because the actual bite-sized battles were nice. Hopefully they're just testing the waters with this model and they'll find a better balance in the future.
And now you have to do a 40k Tabletop Feature. I want to see a video series of Vinny assembling his first army and painting them and then a Vinny v Austin match.
