The established Steam user base will not move over, since they have a bunch of games and friends on Steam, so Steam will continue to sell games to the West, while some other companies can indeed step-in for the East. The games might change somewhat, as did movies, but, as with movies, it won't be a huge thing.
I'm not sure if we'll even notice anything, really.
Hopefully this will mean the end of freaking zombie games. I swear to god, one more and I will throw my PS4 outta the window.
A whole buncha people will buy a Switch this Holiday. There's absolutely no way in hell they would do something as stupid as release a new version next year. Absolutely no way. Maybe in 2 years. You can just buy one. If they release one, it will be a cosmetic upgrade, late next year, MAYBE. A hardware upgrade is out of the question at this point.
@rorie: Its very open-ended, five different players could take five different paths through the game. You're not 'supposed' to be going through any specific area, you will wind up getting lost some times and that's part of the appeal... Its the best new metroidvania I've played in the last ten years IMO. So goddamn good.
I think what I was trying to say is that it does a poor job of denoting what to do when you get a new ability. As it is I'm just wandering around places I've already been since I don't know where on the map I used to be blocked but now I can proceed through. Like, I got the walljump ability not too long ago in my playthrough but had no idea where I could go back and use it, so I just kind of meandered around for half an hour until I found somewhere I could move on. Wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't such a huge map, or if they had map annotations, but I found it a bit frustrating.
Understandably so. If I were a character in the game, and had a physical map, I'd just mark those places with a red marker. Like they do in Silent Hill games.
You see, the problem was that in Poland, no stores actually carried Vita games in any meaningful quantity.
Oh my dude, after the system was out for a year or two, I never saw any Vita games actually being displayed anywhere in Poland. But Nintendo doesn't have great distribution over here either. At least Sony tries to localize games here, but then there's the Vita's EU store, which sucks. I still vastly prefer my Switch to Vita, but yeah, if only Sony tried just a little bit more, that thing had some potential.
That guy's pants are just absolutely ridiculous. Those things look hilariously bad.
The combat looks OK, but they should chill it with the talking. Why would you talk so much during a fight?
That girl's boobs are impossible.
There's a whole bunch of anime bull in the trailers. Just ridiculous things uttered in a very serious manner mashed up with some maudlin, cheesy as all hell shit thrown in for good measure.
The world looks nice, and the lore is interesting, but that's par for the course for Xeno games.
All in all... I'll definitely wait for the reviews. And even if it gets high notes, I'll probably wait until I can find it on the cheap.
