@kidman: I’m there with you. I dropped off GB for a minute after they left. Jeff brought me back on.
The vibe of the site was morphing and eroding for a while, even before the big departures last summer. While I still enjoyed listening and watching it was mainly to listen to Jeff.
I’ve been following along with GB since about 09-10. This feels final. It’s been fun.
After a hiatus of almost a year I started listening again a few months ago. I'm still enjoying the show, but it's with concessions. Jeff is, as always, wonderful. I've really enjoyed Rorie's times on the show. I keep coming back to the lack of a true lineup. It feels like mostly filler folks.
I don't want to cast negativity, but I just feel some people's energies don't meld well with the Bombcast feel. There's a lack of playfulness and an increased focus on self...with one person in particular.
I still come back each week. I enjoy the listen for the most part, but it's a different feel than before.
I stopped listening to the bombcast for a few months but have been giving it a try recently. The flow is not there and this is not related to being remote.
I've been giving Jess a chance but her personality does not work great. You could see this over the GOTY discussions. Takes things very personally and overall detracts from the process. There seemed to be some barbs between herself and Jeff G.
I'm going to keep trying, but it's getting harder to tune-in. I love hearing Jeff G talk about nearly anything. Would love to see more Rorie. But as of now there are too many cooks not enough chefs.
The discussions hinge on Jeff G driving. Otherwise it's clamoring for something to say.
