I'm really bummed I won't get this thing delivered until next week, especially Monday being a dumb holiday (Canadian Thanksgiving is barely celebrated, at least where I'm from). I really want to play this.
So I know that some others have had similar issues and I'm not trying to excuse the PSVR (I'm not even on the VR "hype" train, so to speak) but wouldn't their colored lighting on set mess with the camera? I don't mean to say it's an excuse, that's still a flaw of the device, but considering the way it works isn't IR based and instead relies on colored lights from the controllers/headset, isn't that an issue.
And then there's the fact that many outlets are praising it, seemingly not having those issues.
Disclaimer: I haven't watched the video yet, but have seen the crew's tweets and some gifs.
Edit: I will say though, the mess of cables that thing brings looks like a person with OCD's nightmare e.g. me.
This game looks super interesting, but man... that free-to-play shit. It's cool and all that you (the developer) are making some kind of "commentary" on that stuff, or being snarky about it, but guess what, you're still taking part in it at the same time, so you're not excused.
I'm never a big fan of the cynicism that comes with these types of things, but some decisions on Sony's part really rub me the wrong way. Most especially, I'm talking about the lack of UHD Blu-ray reading capability. It just blows my mind that a company with experience in bringing out devices that sell a ton, largely in part due to their media playing capability (DVD for PS2, Blu-ray for PS3), would make such a ridiculous decision. It literally is the thing that might stop me from getting the PS4 Pro. If you're going to sell people on 4K and HDR, don't omit one of the biggest selling points for it.

Listen, I don't want to be the guy coming her to talk shit or whatever, and I love Dan despite his flaws, but I'm not sure if I should be surprised or not that he doesn't understand gravity. Like, at a very basic level. I mean, this is "Tides go in, tides go out. You can't explain that." level of ignorance.
