Brad referring to everyone 'hating' Persona 5 is really bizarre. I don't even know who he's talking about. Maybe Alex? Alex does have criticisms but he acknowledges it's kinda related to Persona being Persona.
I think the vast majority of people love the game while still having some criticisms, just like Persona 4. But those articles regarding the "poor" localization are spreading around, showing people 50 or so sentences in a 100+ hour story drenched game.
Basically, Brad really likes to form opinions on games based on hearsay. We all know that. He'll go into those games expecting to not like them which colors his perception of the game from the getgo.
It really seems like Brad came into this DLC ready to dislike it based on general opinion. He also seems to really be dumping on the game for just being...hard? And being a souls game? Like he gets killed by a pretty difficult enemy when he's underleveled (he even says he's underleveled) and he immediately goes off on it saying it's 'rough'.
I went into the DLC for the first time underleveled as well and even as a souls veteran I had a TOUGH time. I got most of the way through it before deciding I needed to upgrade my weapon from +7 to +10 and get 5-10 levels.
I mean, look, I didn't think the DLC was great either but I also got much further than 15 minutes into it before maligning it like Brad does.
@oursin_360: IQ tests really aren't a great indication of intellect. I have an IQ of 140 and after having taking tests a couple times, they're really just a lot of pattern recognition and some comprehension. Some of the most intelligent people I know have "average" IQ.
Dan is intelligent but he's also ignorant on a lot of things. He doesn't seem to care too much about knowing things that might not affect him which isn't that big of a deal.
@newhuman: Agreed. My partner smoked cigarettes for years and decided to start vaping instead. They're now down to the lowest possible nicotine content available and as far as anyone is aware, it's not nearly as harmful or expensive as smoking. Plus it smells good unlike cigarettes. Like it's actually kinda nice having a melon or fruit smell hanging in the air.
I was never a smoker but I've tried cigarettes before and I try my partner's vape every now and then and vaping is WAY less harsh. It is pretty frustrating hearing people shitting on it when it's a hobby that gets people to stop smoking.
@jeffkill: pretty much the only place I've had any serious framerate issues (PS4) was one of the first side quests you get in some factory full of raiders.
Everywhere else has been fine so far. I'm not going to excuse it because the framerate in that area was AWFUL. Like below 10 in parts of it. But I'm hoping it's mostly just that area.
