@panburgerpartner: It brings up the fast travel menu from which you can access the map, but you still have to dig through the lists to open it from there. As far as I can tell there's no way to just press a button and get the zone map right away, aside from the fairly useless map overlay you can get

Also, Rex has to have some of the most half-hearted and boring battle cries I've ever heard

Played 6 hours so far. It's fun and compelling, but totally lacks the polish 1 had. It doesn't even have a dedicated map button, and there's no achievment list, collectipedia, or armour system

@berfunkle: This site still has almost zero JRPG focus at all, so I highly doubt it'll get a review and it's definitely not gonna be mentioned in GOTY stuff. Always been one of the things I dislike about this site.

I loved Skyward Sword, easily the best Zelda game out there in my opinion, especially story-wise. Well, maybe Twilight Princess.

Games should always be 60FPS, no exception.

Also, kinda off-topic, but I have never been able to get into the 2D Sonic games. I'm actually playing Mania right now and god. The level design just seems completely random and overly complex and wants to constantly stop you from actually, you know, going fast.

Sonic/Shadow levels were janky but fun (City Escape is still one of the best platformer game levels, ever, period), but the other character's were beyond dull.

I feel super lucky, I played through the entire game with max settings and never dipping below 60FPS. Only problem I had was the game crashing whenever I alt-tabbed, which I haaaaate and every other game seems to do these days. Sad and surprised to see so many people can't play it at all.

Just beat it earlier today. It was fun. Still has That Jank, but it was far from terrible. Liked the avatar stages the most which was surprising to me. Besides that awful 2D one at the end anyway.
