I don't even know what politics is anymore. Everything that was covered by sociology, psychology and philosophy is now lumped in into this vague as hell term politics. It can mean whatever you feel like it should mean and it seems that people use the term politics only when they want to win arguments and not actually discuss ideas.

Then again, what do I know.

@fourthline:This game might be many things to many people, but forgettable is one thing it is not.

@g_rex: I want to play it, but I'm just afraid I'll get sick of Assassin Creednes super fast. Combat looks super good, and visuals are breathtaking, but the gameplay loop just screams wait for a discount.

I would have to disagree. I'm not looking for Giantbomb to be the youTube shilling kinds of hype men to get me excited about the games. I am perfectly able to do that myself if I see something that I'm excited about. This is a personality driven site and I come here to see them be them, but it is a double edged sword where if someone is no longer down with the personalities of the site and the direction they're heading then it's harder to enjoy the site.

So true, I find myself drifting away more and more. East is still great and the crew there is what keeps me coming back, but west is unrecognizable to me, Jeff and Brad like the tired parents, sick of it all, Jason the odd uncle no one wants there at the family reunion, Ben and Jan like annoying teenagers, one without personality desperate to be liked, only managing the opposite, the other going trough his "alternative" phase and coaxing only sighs as reaction. It's a shame really, I enjoyed their content for so many years, feeling almost like a distant cousin to them. I was heartbroken when Ryan died and in a way that's when the mood started to shift. Other people left, Dave Snider was always a blast when he appeared. Drew always affable, Klepek was fun but never hesitated to dig deeper into topics, Austin always having something interesting and thought provoking to discuss. Even Ryckert, especially in combination with Drew was such a blast to watch (in reasonable doses).

Now, it feels like one of those businesses that you read about, all the creative forces having left, shambling along, shadow of it's former self. If Vinny left, I might actually stop visiting the site for good. There's few things more crushing in entertainment than seeing Ben and Jason doing a quick look of a game I'm excited about and would like to look at it with "friends", but these strange pretenders are elbowing in and killing the mood.

I do love it 100%, everything hit for me, even the "boring" collect any resource you can find parts. I got into this almost pavlovian loop of anticipation and joy of finding scissors or duct tape.

On a more analytic level, there are parts I have problems with, like the tropey oh you are captured, you are about to die but get out of it at the last moment, or get help out of nowhere.

In the end, when everything was done, it all just clicked into place, everything just made sense, emotionally and intellectually. The few instances of disconnect at that point just felt completely irrelevant because the journey as whole was so impactful.

Not fatigued, I just became a total snob when it comes to games. Only the highest quality and budget for me now, no half measures. RDR2 is the first on the list for this year.

I thought I was done with shooters for good, then I played Ovewatch open beta and now I'm back in, all in. I could just play Tracer and still think it's worth the buy, other heroes are just icing on the cake.

Needs few hours to click though, at least for me it did, but when it clicks, oh man.
