Is there still rampent fanboyism like this nowerdays with review scores? Since GiantBomb launched I've gladly not paid attention to any review score besides GB's 5 star scale.

The only game I play now on my 360 is SFIV. I'm just the sort of guy who gravitates PC game. It's been a goal for me to try and get the super hard points in SFIV because it's a game I love and the points are really hard in some spots. I spent a good amount of hours getting the last one I think I'll ever get (finishing arcade mode with all character on medium or above differculty) and now have a grand total of 800 points in the game. It's a nice round number and it's 4/5 of S-rank so I'm happy with it. I don't think I'll ever get the achievments for doing all hard trials for all characters. I would really need a stick for that. The only one I see myself being able to ever get would be Gold Medals on all survival/TT challenges, that'll take too much time to do so I doubt I'll get that.Â

My next goal is to be the best I can be with a 360 controller. At the moment I'm ok and I'm working on my FADC combos alot, (I don't have a crazy button config. I'm not missing any moves like some people on the controllers do which allows me to play all characters. For the record I have the buttons like this: A=LK, B=MK, X=LP, Y=MP, LB=HP, LT=x3P, RB=HK, RT=x3K) I have a few of them down 80% in practice mode but can barely ever do them against a real person so I need to work on handling my composure when playing online. Still having a ton of fun with the game even though I'm not all that good at it. That doesn't bother me much though. I've basically told myself I wouldn't take the game too seriously to stop myself getting too worked up when I loose. I still do a bit.

What about a Bionic Commando Rearmed style remake of Super Metroid on PSN and XBLA. Not in the same style of graphics but in the sense that it looks awesome and all 1080P and HD.
A problem though....... Metroid is Nintendo's ;( So it'll never happen.

I was blown away by this year's PS3 E3 conference. Even with a few of the games being leaked, they still managed to keep some amazing stuff and I don't think any of us expected. Final Fantasy 13 still looks fantastic and I like the idea of a Final Fantasy MMO even though it'll probably get -100% attention from me when The Old Republic comes out.

God of War 3 looks amazing but I never really enjoyed playing the games. So I'm not particulaly interested in the series yet can totally see why it is so popular.
I'm going to cut to the chase and just say I thought the tech demo for the new camera was very impressive. You could tell it was early, yet it got the point across of what it does very well. I believe special cameras are the way to go for doing this and things like the WiiMotion+ don't impress me at all. No matter how precise it is it still has that little delay which just takes you right out of the feeling of actualy doing something. What impressed me the most about the tech demo was that whatever he was doing it was instantanious. When that tennis racquet was imposed over the wand and he turned it the racquet actualy moved around perfectly and I actualy believed it for a second.
I hope there's a price cut before the holiday so it'll be even better to jump in but seriously. It was impressive.
Ok, about 2 weeks ago I went in to my local game retailer (conveniently called GAME) for some POINTS GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd played the hell out of Oblivion on the PC and heard you could get the full 1250 or so pretty easily if you knew where you were going and put it on easiest. I'd already done it all a couple times on hardest on my PC so I gave it a whirl.
Anyways after 6 hours or so I got a freeze and a couple days later I was playing some Fable II goodness talking to my friends and about 1hour in it freezed again... then 30 mins in it freezed again.... 5 mins in it freezed again.... 1 min in it freezed again... BAM!! A Red Ring of DEATH *Plays black metal*
Anyways, I hit up the website and went through the convoluded process of registering my console which was a major hassle because just as I'd filled it all in and hit OK, the site went down for matainence -.-

When I got it sorted the next day I got told I needed to get myself a secure box (aparently you don't get one free in the UK), I don't have any at home and trying to get one from the UPS site was a nightmare so I eventualy got a box from my mate who sent his in for repair and still had the one they sent him.
So I got that and then I had to find a way to print a label out which was a pain because I don't have a printer......
Have label!!! Signed my name and dated it (08/05/09) and stuck that sucker down with a lot of tape apart from the bar-code on it. Wrapped the box up with more parcel tape then was really needed and called the number on the label. Went through some automated process and had to robot-talk my phone number which done nothing.... Got through to some Northern Irish women and told her my number and address and she was like "they'll be around in a couple hours" ;O That's quick! An hour and a half a guy in a brown uniform knocked at my door, I gave him the box, he scanned it and buggered off.. I asked him when it'd be back and he didn't have a clue.
So there goes my 360. They'd better fix it.
I hope that helped some people who didn't know what to do like me. I'll update when I get it back. (I guess 10 days, anyone want to guess?)
Wow, the site is finally up, that's awesome, right?
Starting off I got to give props to the balls at the 'Bomb for taking a step outside the box of 'I WANT A NEW GAMESITE CUT THE DOTTED LINE' and making something completely rad and crazy, I still have to check out how it is to edit pages, that could realy put this site in a good position.
Anyways, that's all I can really say at the moment I have to have a closer look and see what's what.
