I was house-sitting for my parents this Halloween, and they usually get only a handful of kids each year. Decided that this year I'd make their house "that house" and hand out full-sized candy bars and bags. Bought about 12 different assortments of candies ranging from chocolaty to peanut buttery to fruity and sour. I was actually kind of excited to hand out full-sized candy, since I remember how exciting that was when I was a kid. But when the night came I didn't get a single knock at the door or a ring of the doorbell. None. So now I've got a dozen things of candy I don't know what to do with. There are worse positions to be in. Your loss, kids!

Did it do anything? Yeah, it made the stuttery, poorly optimized game a stuttery, poorly optimized crashing mess of a game. Things aren't looking very good for this game ever getting fixed.

What? That's a very kneejerk reaction. The game hasn't seen that many patches (one or two right?) and optimization isn't that simple. There are a few fixes to reduce or remove the stuttering for most folks, which I posted above. Sometimes patches cause issues, and then another patch will fix that.

I understand being frustrated but this is why we wait until a game is in good shape before buying it. Only reason I pre-ordered was because I knew that Xbox version at the very least would be solid and I have an Xbone to play on if the PC doesn't work out.

If the patch only caused more issues for me? Then sure, absolutely. But judging from performance threads here and on NeoGAF, this patch made the game worse for the majority of players. And not in a "my framerate in Surfer's Paradise is 3 or 4 frames worse" kind of way, but a "my game is now crashing when it never did before" kind of way. I'm just not confident that this game will ever get "fixed", no matter how many patches they put out for it. I hope I'm wrong, I do, but I'm just not confident.

@captain_felafel: Hi, Bomb Squad leadership here *waves*. There's about 4 people actively playing right now. I have no idea if more will come back for Legion, but I'm guessing not much of the old crew will come back just because life happened to us! But I welcome anyone who wants to come and hang out, level, and chat with some friendlies. All guildies should be able to invite people now. We won't be raiding, but Zul'Jin has a large, active horde community for pugging and such (plus cross realm).

Ahoy! Appreciate the reply. Even if it's so few players, I'll hop on my Orc Hunter and see about leveling him up some.

The US Horde Zul'jin guild (Bomb Squad) isn't wildly active, but it's been picking up a bit since the pre-patch dropped.

Is the leadership of that guild still around? I've got a single character who I've since abandoned in the guild, but if people are still playing on there, I've more characters on Zul'jin I'd move over to that guild.

Well, hot damn, this thread took off in a way I'd seriously not expected. That's kinda' cool.

I haven't played seriously since early Cataclysm, so I might be missing out on some of the finer details. The way you folks speak of cross-realm compatibility, it almost sounds like you're able to form a guild with members across different realms? Are you able to make pre-mades and the like as well?

If so, I think we've got something here. Because I just looked at the server transfer cost, and hot jesus, that's money.

Haven't played since all of the cross-realm stuff got crazy, but it pretty much seems like the realm your guild is on matters very little these days. If you or someone else creates a new GB guild, sign me the hell up.

Got back in when 7.0 hit, plan on playing regularly through the launch of Legion and we'll see where that goes. I'm US, have characters all over the place. Desperately looking for a guild, so if the GB community is getting together a guild, I'm in, even if it's mostly duders on the other side of the pond.

I just had some of the most enjoyable matches I've had yet and it was all started with the enemy team going all Toblerone's on Defense. The next round both teams made an agreement that we'd all choose the same character and play as that character until the end of the round. What followed were some of the most entertaining, stupidest matches I've had yet. And it was wonderful. A team of D.Va's on Attack against a team of Lucio's? A wave of Roadhog's against a never-ending supply of Soldier 76's? It was a riot.

None of this would've been possible if you weren't allowed to pick the same hero.
