Best of 2009

Really shocking to me the number of games on this list that I have enjoyed more because of the experience shared with people playing them than thanks to the games themselves. 
 
Fifa has the awesome clubs mode gen
Borderlands was amazing 4 player coop and the joy of arguing about next  distribution methods while killing zombies 
Shadow complex was the lone single player experience but was a game great to play when party chatting with others 
Batman was a great game to talk about especially the final scarecrow experience made more interesting thanks to a console with a faulty disk drive 
Beatles was all about singing with multiple mics 
Resident Evil 5 was the two hour session trying to beat Jill I hate QTEs! 
Modern Warfare was the awesome Spec Ops mode 
Brutal Legend was talking about the plot and the awesome twists 
Street Fighter was the lunchtime gaming sessions 
and 1 vs 100 was the time spent trying to get in the mob while laughing at the questions we were getting wrong. 
 
Some people might say 2009 wasn't as good a year for gaming as 2008 and or 2007 which is probably true if you look at the games themselves, but for me the experiences I had with some games this year beat anything from the last two! 
 
ps No Assassin's Creed or Uncharted as I've not played them yet
