In their last round of fundraising they raised $58000 off of 54 investors. If investors (the smartest people under capitalism) are willing to give more than $1000 for the Amico then $300 is an absolute steal!

Great. See you in 3-6 years when there's finally a gameplay trailer.

It happens to the best of us. Life comes up, or another game draws your attention midway through and when you pick the game back up you've forgotten everything you know.

Maybe it's a central mechanic, maybe it's a key item or location you forgot you needed to do, maybe you forgot about the demon bell status effect in Sekiro and beat the game without even realizing you were debuffed... ahem.

Anyways, what are some silly things you forgot after coming back to a game?

I mean, It's probably better to have an upbeat episode lead into a dramatic song than a dramatic episode lead into an upbeat song.

I got an NES in 1995. It was a hand-me-down from my older cousin. I also bought a Dreamcast in 2015 or so, so I guess it's that.

Good move. I love Advance Wars but let's face facts: never a major seller, wholly eclipsed by Fire Emblem in recent years, needs all the help it can get.

If Nintendo wants any chance of reviving the franchise they gotta make sure the timing is right.

Hopefully Wayforwards bottom line isn't affected too much. Nintendo seems like an okay publisher to work with, so I don't think they'll lose out too many of those last fiscal quarter bucks.

Honestly, I think videogame stories are usually too complex for their own good. There are a lot of late, third act developments that round out the game for a final boss that ultimately drag the story down.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a recent egregious example of this. The characters were plenty compelling on their own and there was a lot of development towards what would be the final conflict only for the illuminati equivalent to be revealed two missions from the end of the game; featuring enemies who you never really interacted with conspiring to do things you never heard of.

I saw Uncharted 2 mentioned as a good story, but even in that game there are blue people disguised as yetis and a magical tree that turns the greedy mercenary antagonist into Bane from Batman.

I really liked the recent Guy Gavriel Kay novels. The only standalone one is Under Heaven, but it's a banger. It draws on Tang China so it's not the usual fantasy fair.
