I just played the demo and man. Wow. Man. Definitely in for this, love the speed and the crazy Japanese sensibilities. I think when I saw the hero character smoking I almost lost it.

It may also be because it was the first game I'd played after installing surround sound. I mean, Jesus--that pumping electronic soundtrack had me keyed up the whole time.

I read a lot of nonfiction. Atm I'm reading On Food and Cooking: The Science and Lore of the kitchen. Really highly recommend it. Next on deck is Ludvig von Mises' Human Action.

Of course there was a conspiracy. Your real question is 'a conspiracy involving the US government and/or Jews.'

Maybe I made my point a little too broadly. The consensus model of quantum physics is non-determinism. You can try to twist the universe back into determinism by creating an angel who decides which atom in a bundle of radioactive atoms decays, but there is no evidence for that angel. So the burden of proof is properly on the determinists, not the non-determinists.

A lot of armchair philosophers think they can roll up and start spouting nonsense about how free will is an illusion because of electron spin quarks tachyons blah blah blah, but the fact is they wouldn't know which end of a microscope to look in. So maybe they should stick to metaphysics.

Quantum mechanics is non-deterministic, afaik. I don't think that really speaks directly to the argument, but it doesn't help the people who think that their belief in fate is scientific.

Is it proper to compare them to mature 2d games? Wouldn't a more apt comparison be to the first 2d games?

I mean, 'how well do the first 2d games hold up' is a question that gets answered every week in the Game Room quicklooks.

The worst game I've personally played was Lethal Tender.

Awesome people shop for games at K-mart. Alan Wake is $35 this week, I bought mass effect 2 a few weeks ago for $20.

I'm guessing there are a lot of ways to get money that aren't gangsta. Like becoming an actuary.
