"Games I Have Played This Year"

I was thinking, of something good to do for my new account, so I decided to make a list of games that i have played/beat this year.I'm planing on doing mini reviews for each game on the list.Complete with scores, and as much insight on my opinion of the game as possible.Hope you enjoy

List items

  • My first out of the four "Castlevania" games on this list, and the first "Castlevaina" game to have Soma Cruz in it.Overall one of the best out of the "metroidvania" style of "Castlevania"games, and one of my favorite GBA games.5/5

  • The second "Castlevania"game I have played this year, and the second game to feature Soma cruz. This of course, is the Sequel to "Aria of sorrow" released in 2003 on the GBA, and this sequel was released in 2005 on the DS.Like Aria this is one of my favorite games on the console it was released on, and in general a great game. 5/5

  • The third "Castlevania" game I have played this year, and the second DS "Castlevania" game.It is the follow up to "Dawn Of Sorrow" released in 2005."Portrait Of Ruin" was released the following year in 2006.Portrait does a great job, following up the previous game, but does fall a little short on being a overall better game.I don't know if it's just me, but what helped make Dawn such a great game was the Soul system, the weapon synthesis system, and the overall great feeling that the game had.Even though, Portrait retains some of the great stuff that Dawn had.Its just not as good as that game.4/5

  • "Kirby Squeak Squad" was released in 2006 for the DS.I don't have to much to say, about this game.Because it's basically like any other "Kirby" game, but like "any other Kirby game" its Fun.With a capital eff.4/5

  • Bastion is a game, that i had to beat in one sitting.I was just amazed, like most people that have played this game by this games gameplay, and like most people I was sucked in from start to finish.Besides the gameplay, this game had great music, and great art design. That pushed this game to the other level of quality that most games could only dream of having, and to put the icing in the this sweet cake.My favorite reviewer of all time Greg Kasavin was the writer for this game.I think you all know what am going to give this game.5/5

  • The "NBA Street series" has been the only basketball game series that have gotten into.mainly because it's the only one that I have really played.I know there's other great basketball game series out there, but "NBA Street" has been the only basketball series that I have been interested in.Because it just has a great pick up and play quality that just draws you in, and makes you wanna play more. Which makes it very similar to the "NBA Jam series"that came out in the 90s by Midway. Now let's talk about the first "NBA Street"game released in 2002 for the Ps2, and the GameCube. Now I don't have to much to say about this game, but I will say as much as I possibly can.First off this game succeeds,on being a great first game for the "NBA Street series", and on being a great start for the Street line of games released by EA.The game for its time, had some very good graphics, and some very good gameplay. That can be enjoyed with a group of friends, and by yourself. The gameplay though does depend on your opinion, but in my opinion it still holds up rather well.Which is more then what a lot other sports games released at the time can probably say.The games soundtrack from my memory was decent, but nothing to brag home about.Overall "NBA Street" is a game that still holds up today, and is a testament to how good a simple sports game can be.5/5

  • Huh "the Lego series" a great series of games. That are fun, and easy to play regardless what age you are, and that don't lose sight of what's important, the source material, which for the first installment in "TT Games" "Lego Series" is "Star Wars" this game was released in 2005 on the Ps2, Xbox, GameCube, GBA, and PC.This game like any other good game has, good graphics, good gameplay, a good soundtrack, and a good concept, which come together pretty nicely. In this very short, and mainly easy game. That will most likely keep you entertained, for the few hours it lasts.4/5

  • "Jade Empire" is a very weird game for "BioWare" who made such games like, "Star Wars Knights Of The Republic" [Which is one of my favorite games of all time.] and "Baldur's Gate." Which are Action RPG'S, that have a very unique gameplay mechanic. That allow you the player, to pause the game at any time. To select your party's, Magic ability's, and your items. Which adds a very cool aspect to the game, that no other game has. That's where, "Jade Empire" becomes weird for "BioWare". Now don't get me wrong, this game still has a lot of the same things. That "BioWare" games usually have, but "Jade Empire's" gameplay is more like a typical third person action game, then anything else. This doesn't mean this game isn't any good, in fact in some places this game. Still shares the same level of quality that other "BioWare" games have. Like KOTOR, like Baldurs Gate, and like Mass effect, but this game doesn't share, the same deep gameplay like other "BioWare" games have. 4/5
