@rorie: @panfoot: Thanks for looking into it. It also seems random for me. Sone premium content is locked, and some is not. Even a few quicklooks are locked. It seems to be the same as what Panfoot has because the same ones he mentioned are locked for me. Thanks for the info about the videos being posted to Youtube!

@thejke: I have not recently extended my subscription, but my billing page also says "You are currently on a free trial of the Giant Bomb Premium Yearly plan." I am able to download videos though.

I have also been having bad buffering issues on the site for a while now. It used to work fine. Now I can barely get videos to play because they constantly buffer. Sometimes I can get them to play a little better if I drop the quality setting, but not often. Sometimes a video will play fine for a long time and then the buffering starts and it become unwatchable. I watch everything I can on YouTube with no problem, even videos that will not play well on the HTML 5 or progressive settings. I am also on Comcast and don't have trouble with any other sites or streaming services. It seems sometimes that it is worse in the evenings, but YouTube and Hulu will play just fine.

Thanks for looking into this - just wanted to let you know I have the same problem.

My Roku app automatically updated. Yesterday and today I got the VPN Day Pass page on the site. I can only get access to the site if I go to the HTTPS version that Rorie posted. I also use the Windows 10 Giant Bomb app and it will not load any videos.

I have a GTX 650 Ti Boost (2GB), which is a little below the minimum requirement, and the game runs fine at 30 fps. Otherwise, I have an i7-4770 3.40GHz and 16 GB of RAM. The Nvidia experience thing recommends that I set the resolution to 1600x900 and everything else to Low or off. But I found these YouTube videos of someone who messed with the settings on this card and was able to turn a lot of the options to Ultra and a lot of the post processing settings on and the game still seems to run fine at 30 fps. I copied his settings and had good results at 1600x900 and it looks great to me. I seem to be able to run it at 1920x1080 with a lot of the options set at around medium at 30 fps. Here are the guy's videos if anyone has this card and would like to try out those settings:
