Hm.. I like golf & i like roguelikes, but this just doesn't seem very fun to me. Not sure what's up with that Yoshi's Island aiming & having to re-fill the bar to see the new angles. What's the point of this all? Normally the idea behind these bars is that you have one chance to hit it just right and the whole angle-finding gets done before that. The actual physics of the ball also seem quite hard to parse, with balls just rolling the opposite side of where you figure it would go. And it just seems a whole lot of busiwork to get through these enormous levels without much room for satisfying long range shots.

What's up with that Spongebob game? It looks like it plays in slow motion.

Outcast is a pretty groundbreaking 3d game from the 90's but THQ has been trying to get it revived for a while now. I think there's a remaster of it, a remake, and a sort of Outcast 2 already? But now this is also Outcast 2? And it's pretty unclear to the general audience what the Outcast 1 is supposed to be and what that second contact thing is? I should give those games a try. They seem to come up as crazy budgetbin titles quite a bit.

Lmao, Level 4 went wild!

Clearly the issue with this is that Mia is tied down to Replika. Clearly Mia should be transfarred to the blockchain and really spread her wings!

This game still kinda looks like an early PS3 game. The amount of pop in and muddy textures is quite high and where once on a time we were dreaming of seeing 3000 enemies at once on the screen seems like it will forever stay a dream. Instead we get a heavy fog.

Killing a buttload of enemies at the same time is something i definitly see the appeal in and i do think that slowly but surely conquering the map is enjoyable. But it just doesn't seem like Koei Tecmo is all that interested in diverting from the standard they set a few consoles ago. Not sure how well these games sell, and how much of a factor the IP's are in that, but i feel like a decently sized indie studio or bigger could look at this, start from scratch, and make something that feels more modern, yet still lets you smash hundreds of enemies at once with big attacks.

Hah, so funny when you're making an opinion and you're pretty confident that everyone will agree that X is better than Y, and then people heavily disagree with you and you're like WOAH... your brain is so different from mine.

I also hope that the Diffuser dude randomly stumbles upon a bunch of people listening to his song and saying how they were ahead of their time.

Man, i also really enjoy the Strokes and that whole Meet me in the bathroom scene that happened. It helps that most of the Nu-metal stuff didn't appeal to me back in that day apart from Linkin Park and the more palatable Limp Bizkit, so hearing big choruses & bright guitar melodies was exactly what i wanted out of guitar music at that point.

Was watching some Glastonbury vids this weekend and i'm very curious what Americans would make out of the new album from Sleaford Mods that has gained them a new level of popularity in the UK. I can see it mixing like oil & water for Americans because it sounds pretty much like you're middle aged neighbor with a thick accent complaining about the weather.

Finally the discussion about the difference in vibration sounds between a phone and a sextoy has happened. That made me laugh :)

I should keep track of the sale numbers of these games. I can never tell if this series keeps getting more and more popular and more people buy it, or if it might be the case that more & more people have at least one of their games in their possession, and that's generally similar enough to the newest iteration that you don't necessarily have to buy the new one for a different experience.

That said, i can't blame this game too much. Graphically it looks pretty impressive, it runs well, the slowmotion shots are very satisfying and they even innovated on the formula by providing invasions. But yeah, it definitly looks like some of these maps might be a bit too large for their own good sadly.

Normally i don't veer towards these art-games, but PassPartout has that certain.. Je ne sais quoi.

Like they probably didn't have to come up with such a novel character design. They didn't have to make the character do the exact same movements as your mouse cursor. No one would've complained if they just went with normal dialog boxes. And certainly no one was asking them to come up with an amazingly elegant way of entering a building, but they did all that none the less. Truly amazing work. Think about the amount of games we've seen throughout the years where you have to enter a building. None of the games i know has done it quite as well as this game does. I literally guffawed at the screen when i saw it.
