The only way I could see this being interesting to me is if they have a MMO type world with tons of people around, which I can kind of see happening with those graphics.
Please put the controller in someone elses hands for game of year talks if for nothing else. If you aren't confident do it during side quests or something. The combat is really, really not that hard. It's not hard to turn towards your target while attacking instead of doing an entire attack chain facing the same direction during every single attack.
I feel like you're playing as Solid Snake interviewing these people by the way people will talk to him, and he just replies by repeating a word they said but in the form of a question. "A submarine?" "A Hind D?" "Nanomachines?"

And a little constructive criticism for Ben. I think you would do better if you weren't so hyper aware of the camera. I know that's a lot harder than it sounds, but for me anyways you are coming across as trying way too hard to be funny and somewhat fake.
As someone else said though, Ben should have never been put in this position. He had no experience hosting or even playing the game.

There is ZERO chance Lee would suggest beating Makoto. The actual plan is to disfigure the other girl and remove her prints so that no one can determine she isn't Makoto.
Enjoyed the first game a surprising amount when I picked it up free from ps+. Was thinking about picking up this one on sale. Unfortunately I learned.....literally nothing from this quick look. I just don't understand the point of having 2 people that hate stealth games quick look a very unforgiving stealth game.
Ok I'm sorry, I know we've all been here before and it's best to just silently move on.. but how can you spend hours trying to learn how to buy jeans? You put on a pair and it's 34 waist and it either fits or it doesn't. You find the number that fits you comfortably and then you go buy that number every time. It's prudent to try them on anyway because different brands will have different cuts but generally this works.

I think Dan just gets caught up on trying to learn the right way, the "normal" way, to do something. It's why he doesn't like fashion, or handshakes, or anything where there isn't actually a right way to do it.
Switching to the topic of combat in this game, you can hold L2 and hit triangle to stomp on someone on the ground without using a heat move and wasting that time on someone that's not worth it. I have a platinum in yakuza 3, 4, 5, and 0 and I almost never used the R1 to lock on to people. The only time I remember using it is for the komeki parry when you have to use it. Come on guys, not everyone has to play the game like you do.
A little off topic, @alex I might step away from the idea of doing the entire series. This is a great game. I would say the other ones in the series are ok to good games. I just have a feeling that starting with a showstopper is going to lead to disappointment and rushing through this entry.
You can mash buttons in this game and do fine for the most part. You should try heat moves with unique items if you pick them up though (like the syringe in this episode). Spending money to upgrade health and damage will help you more than anything else.
